Better than the alternatives

Adobe Acrobat requires a $14.99/month subscription just to merge PDFs. ILovePDF shows ads and limits file sizes. NexTools is free up to 20 tasks/month — no forced subscription, no ads injected into your documents, no watermarks. Merge is handled server-side with pdf-lib for reliable output across all PDF versions.

PDF merger questions answered

How many PDF files can I merge at once?

Up to 10 PDF files per merge operation on the free plan. Each file can be up to 20MB. Need to merge more? Merge in batches and then merge the resulting files.

Will merging PDFs reduce quality?

No. We combine PDFs at the page level without re-encoding images or text. The merged file is byte-for-byte identical to the source pages.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Not currently. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked before merging. If your PDFs have form fields or digital signatures, those are preserved in the merged output.

Is the merged PDF free of watermarks?

Yes. We never add watermarks, logos, or any modifications to your documents. What you get out is exactly what you put in — just combined.

What if my PDFs have different page sizes?

Mixed page sizes (A4, Letter, etc.) are preserved in the merged document. Pages are not resized or normalized — each page keeps its original dimensions.
